Summary

Will spend 100% of their time managing and coordinating all programs related to jobs and outreach. In addition, will be responsible for computer reporting and marketing as needed. Duties also include recruiting new students, tutoring, and following up with participants.


Essential Job Functions

  1. Serve as the main point of contact for the YouthBuild program
    • Includes answering inquiries, applications, and conducting initial interviews
  2. Coordinate job placement and follow-up
  3. Serve as the transportation coordinator, including in-house and outside transportation needs for both vehicles and drivers
  4. Develop partnerships with local businesses for apprenticeship and training programs
  5. Coordinate and plan job fairs and educational tours for students
  6. Serve as the YouthBuild procurement officer, including general supplies and educational needs
  7. Plan and organize marketing efforts and workshops, including:
    • Interviewing skills
    • Resume preparation
    • Career fairs
    • Motivational activities
    • Ensure trainees are prepared before interviews and conduct follow-up assessments
  8. Assist with and administer the MIS computer system

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as education, counseling, psychology, or equivalent experience working with young people
  • Strong commitment to helping youth succeed in an innovative training program that supports life redirection and leadership development
  • Experience in:
    • Counseling, leading, and directing youth
    • Workforce development or related educational programs
    • Maintaining organizational systems for tracking program data
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track record working with young adults who have experienced multiple barriers to success

Compensation

This is a full-time position with benefits and will run for the duration of the grant (3 years).

Salary: $21.64 - $25.48 per hour (DOQ)
