YouthBuild Program

"BUILDING OUR YOUTH, SHAPING THEIR FUTURE!"

The Opelika Housing Authority's YouthBuild Program is a community-based pre-apprenticeship program that provides job training and educational opportunities for youth, ages 18-24, who have not completed their High School Diploma.  Our program is designed to educate and empower students to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

With the YouthBuild Program:

• Participants earn cash incentives for taking the next steps towards a better future.
• Participants earn industry-recognized credentials and gain the experience to start working in a specialized career.
• Participants gain hands-on experience building a home for a family in need while finishing GED classes or High School Diploma.
