FSS Program

What is the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program?

The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is a voluntary program that helps families receiving housing assistance to become economically self-sufficient. The program is designed to help families set and achieve goals that will lead to financial independence.

In housing, when your income goes up, so does your rent. This can make savings difficult, if not impossible. However, when you are in the FSS Program, the additional money you pay in rent is deposited into an account, called the FSS Savings Account. This account becomes a powerful savings tool that you can use to make progress towards your goals!

In the FSS Program, you are not alone. You have access to a Case Manager who will help you create a plan to achieve your goals and support you in building a more stable financial future for you and your family.
