Kimberley Allen and Stephine Washington Become Certified Life Coaches

Opelika Housing Authority is proud to recognize FSS Coordinators Kimberley Allen and Stephine Washington for earning their Life Coach certifications. Both spent a week at Indiana Wesleyan University completing their final Foundations of Life Coaching session.

In their work with OHA's Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program, Kimberley and Stephine help participants identify goals and take steps toward greater financial independence. Those goals may include continuing their education, finding employment, increasing their income, building savings or improving their credit.

Working toward these goals takes time, and each family's circumstances are different. Having someone to talk through challenges, recognize progress and help identify the next step can make a difference. Life coaching training gives Kimberley and Stephine additional tools to support those conversations and help participants make decisions about their futures.

Their certification reflects the time and effort they have put into strengthening their skills for the families they serve. We look forward to seeing them bring what they've learned into their daily work with FSS participants.

Congratulations, Kimberley and Stephine! We're proud of your accomplishment and appreciate your continued commitment to OHA families.
