Jessica Ford Earns Grant Writing Certificate from the University of Georgia

Opelika Housing Authority is proud to recognize Jessica Ford on earning her Grant Writing Certificate through the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

Jessica completed 24 hours of continuing education to fulfill the requirements of the certificate program. The training adds to her professional skills in an area that can have a direct impact on the work of a housing authority.

Grant funding can provide housing authorities with additional resources to support resident programs, community initiatives and other needs that may not be fully covered through traditional funding sources. Having staff who understand the grant writing process can help OHA identify opportunities and prepare stronger proposals when funding becomes available.

Jessica's completion of the program is another example of OHA staff continuing to build skills that can be put to work for the agency and the families we serve.
