Opelika Housing Authority Celebrates 17 YouthBuild Graduates

The Opelika Housing Authority proudly celebrated the graduation of 17 participants from YouthBuild Cohort 4 during a ceremony held at the Opelika Chamber of Commerce.

The event recognized months of hard work, dedication, and personal growth as graduates completed the program and prepared to take the next step toward their futures.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony came from Montravious Turpin, the first graduate of Opelika Housing Authority's YouthBuild Program, who returned to share words of encouragement with this year's graduating class. His journey served as a reminder of the opportunities that can come from perseverance and commitment.

Councilwoman Janataka Hughley-Holmes delivered the commencement address, offering graduates encouragement and reminding them to continue believing in themselves as they pursue their goals.
