OHA Celebrates FSS Graduate Chelsey Thomas

Opelika Housing Authority is proud to congratulate Chelsey Thomas on successfully graduating from the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program.

Through hard work, determination, and commitment to her goals, Chelsey completed every step of the program and will now be able to use her escrow savings toward purchasing her new home. Her accomplishment represents more than completing a program. It marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter and reflects the power of setting goals and staying focused on the future.

The Family Self-Sufficiency Program is designed to help residents work toward long term personal and financial goals while building savings along the way. As participants increase their earned income, a portion of their rent increase is placed into an escrow account that can later be used to support major milestones such as homeownership, education, or business opportunities.

Chelsey's success story is a reminder of what is possible through consistency, perseverance, and support.
