Mind & Money Matters Workshop Supports FSS Participants

The Opelika Housing Authority recently hosted its Mind & Money Matters workshop, bringing together Family Self Sufficiency participants for an engaging session focused on both emotional wellness and financial knowledge. The workshop highlighted the importance of balancing mental well being with financial growth, offering residents practical tools they can apply in their daily lives.

The session featured presenters Shelia Holmes, LaTrivia Mayers, and Briana Leavigne of Revision Counseling Center, along with Valencia Turpin of PNC Bank. Together, they provided valuable guidance on managing stress, maintaining mental wellness, and building strong financial habits. This collaboration created a supportive environment where participants could learn, ask questions, and continue moving forward on their path to self sufficiency.
