OHA Staff Participate in NAHRO Hill Day

Staff from the Opelika Housing Authority recently participated in NAHRO Hill Day in Washington, D.C., joining housing leaders from across the United States as part of the 2026 NAHRO Washington Conference.

During Hill Day, housing professionals met with members of Congress and their staff to discuss legislative priorities and the impact of federal housing programs in communities nationwide. These conversations help ensure that the voices of housing agencies and the residents they serve are represented in national policy discussions.

While in Washington, Opelika Housing Authority staff also joined other housing professionals from across the state for a photo highlighting Alabamians on the Hill, representing Alabama's commitment to advocating for safe, affordable housing.
