City of Opelika Honors Lt. John T. Pruitt Sr.

We are proud to share this special moment from the Opelika City Council meeting recognizing the life and legacy of Lt. John T. Pruitt, Sr. and the resolution to rename the 6th Street Bridge in his honor as the Lt. John T. Pruitt, Sr. Memorial Bridge.
 
Lt. Pruitt served the City of Opelika with distinction as a police officer and later dedicated 30 years of service to the Opelika Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. His leadership, character, and commitment to community left a lasting mark that will be remembered for generations.
 
We are grateful to see his contributions formally recognized and his name forever connected to the City he served so faithfully.
