YouthBuild Launches New Project: Wheelchair Ramp Construction

Opelika Housing Authority's YouthBuild program just kicked off a new project, and it's one that hits close to home. Our YouthBuild crew is working with Alabama Rural Ministries to build a wheelchair ramp for a local resident.

This kind of work gives our students a chance to use the skills they've been learning while helping someone in the community live a little easier. It's hard work, but it's also rewarding-and a great reminder of why service is such a big part of the YouthBuild experience.

We're proud of our students for stepping up and putting in the time and effort to make a difference.
