Artrina Thomas Graduates from Opelika's 20 Under 40 Leadership Program
The Opelika Housing Authority proudly celebrates Artrina Thomas, who recently graduated from the prestigious 2024-2025 Class of Opelika's 20 Under 40 Leadership Program. Artrina's participation in this transformative experience reflects her ongoing commitment to professional growth and community impact.
The 20 Under 40 program is designed to empower emerging leaders across Opelika by helping them build leadership skills, expand their networks, and develop a deeper understanding of the city's needs and opportunities. Each year, the program brings together a diverse group of young professionals who are committed to making a difference in their fields and in the broader community.
As part of their group project, the 2024-2025 class brought their vision to life through a meaningful initiative that will leave a lasting legacy. They raised over $30,000 in cash and in-kind donations to create a brand-new greenhouse at The Curtis House, a vital community organization. The greenhouse will help provide fresh produce, nutrition education, and food security to more than 150 families in the Opelika area.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, The Curtis House expressed heartfelt appreciation for the group's dedication, innovation, and generosity. This project is more than a structure-it is a symbol of what can be accomplished when passionate individuals come together with a shared goal of serving others.
Artrina's graduation from the program is a reflection of her hard work, leadership, and heart for community service. Her efforts, both within the Housing Authority and throughout Opelika, continue to uplift those around her.
We are incredibly proud of Artrina and look forward to seeing the continued impact of her leadership.
