OPELIKA HOUSING AUTHORITY CLOSURE

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

The Housing Authority of the City of Opelika has determined that due to the recent increased transmission rate of the COVID-19 virus, all authority buildings will be closed to the Public until further notice.

All Opelika Housing Authority employees will be working remotely and will continue to serve by phone and/or email throughout this time.  Updated information will be posted on the doors of all buildings with contact information and we will continue to share information at: www.opelikaha.org as more information becomes available.

The Opelika Housing Authority will constantly reevaluate the circumstances and update accordingly.

The Opelika Housing Authority plans to maintain continuity of services during this timeframe.  Essential services like emergency maintenance needs, site inspections, lease compliance and enforcement and while doing so, taking measures to make sure staff are practicing safe social distancing.

Given the uncertainty surrounding with the current COVID-19 transmission rate, this closure is subject to change at any time.

Please bear with us as we work through these extraordinary circumstances.

Sincerely,

Matthew K. McClammey
