Jessica Ford Represents OHA in Leadership Lee County and Meets Governor Ivey

Leadership Lee County with Governor Kay Ivey

The Opelika Housing Authority (OHA) is proud to highlight Jessica Ford, Director of Resident Services, for her active participation in the 2024-2025 Leadership Lee County program. Leadership Lee County is a nine-month initiative focused on developing strong local leaders who are making a difference across Lee County, Alabama.

Recently, Ford and her Leadership Lee County classmates had an insightful visit to the Alabama State Capitol. During their day, the group observed live House and Senate sessions, visited with delegates, and attended presentations from the Business Council of Alabama's Helena Duncan and Commissioner Rick Pate. The group experienced leadership in action and deepened their understanding of the state's legislative process.

A highlight of the day was having the honor of meeting Alabama Governor Kay Ivey on the Capitol steps, where the Leadership Lee County class posed for a memorable photo opportunity. The day concluded with a walk through Alabama's rich history at the Department of Archives.

Ford's participation in Leadership Lee County reflects OHA's commitment to investing in professional development, fostering leadership, and encouraging community engagement among its team members. We are proud to see Jessica representing OHA and continuing to grow as a leader dedicated to making a positive impact in Opelika and beyond.
