Second Community Vaccination Drive
AGES 16 AND UP
East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) and Opelika Housing Authority are collaborating to provide a COVID-19 Community Pfizer Vaccination event for anyone age 16 and older. Gov. Kay Ivey announced that beginning April 5 the Department of Public Health would extend eligibility for Covid-19 vaccinations to include all individuals age 16 and older.
The Opelika Housing Authority (“OHA”) and East Alabama Medical Center (“EAMC”) and working together to offer COVID-19 “Pfizer Vaccinations” to Citizens of the City of Opelika.
Current Vaccination dates and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

· Camp Hill Homes Apartments – 125 Henderson Drive, Camp Hill Al.36850
Thursday, April 15, 2021 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED thru Opelika Housing Authority’s Resident Services Department.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
DEADLINE to REGISTER (REQUIRED) is April 12, 2021
Anyone interested in receiving the vaccination will be required to pre-register with the Opelika Housing Authority, prior to the scheduled vaccination dates.

ALL OPELIKA HOUSING AUTHORITY OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS.
The Opelika Housing Authority is continuing to take action to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease (“COVID-19”). We want to do everything we can to protect you, our residents, our participants and others in and around our communities. We continue to closely follow the recommendations of public health agencies and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (“CDC”).
All offices, buildings and facilities owned and operated by the Opelika Housing Authority will continue to be closed to the general public “UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE”. This includes current residents and participants, family members of residents and participants, applicants, vendors and other members of the community, at large.
All agency employees will continue to work during normal business hours and after-hours, as needed. We will continue to provide all services to the best of our ability, without in-person contact. For assistance please call or email us immediately.
If you are a resident or applicant, please contact the Management office of the development where you live or made application. All Housing Choice Voucher participants or applicants please e-mail or contact your Housing Specialist for assistance.

THE HOUSING AUTHORITY WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR OUR PROPERTY “COMPLIANCE CAMERAS” TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH PROGRAM AND LEASE REQUIREMENTS.

According to Alabama Department of Public Health, as of April 14,2021, there are 520,780 confirmed cases in Alabama & 8,694 confirmed cases in Lee County.
